90 miljoner i utdelning till cancerforskning 2024
Genom Sveriges äldsta cancerfonder – Cancerföreningen i Stockholm och Stiftelsen Konung Gustaf V:s Jubileumsfond – stödjer vi i år forskningsprojekt inom områdena barncancer, blodcancer, bröstcancer, bukspottkörtelcancer, gallgångscancer, gynekologisk cancer, hudcancer, huvud-halscancer, levercancer, lungcancer, prostatacancer, sarkom och tarmcancer.
Dessutom finansierar vi projekt inriktade på tumörers egenskaper, epidemiologi, diagnostik och behandling såsom immunterapi och strålbehandling.

Årets utdelning främjar även utvecklingen av nya effektiva cancerbehandlingar vid Karolinska Institutet. Bland annat infrastrukturstöd till GMP cellterapilaboratorium och etableringen av ett precisionsmedicinskt provlaboratorium med expertis inom avancerad provberedning och god datapraktik.
Stödet möjliggör också flera professorstjänster och forskningstid för doktorander som är kliniskt verksamma inom cancerområdet.
